Now that we are coming close to the end of the creation of our video we wanted to get some feedback from individuals who fit our target audience criteria. This means before we submit our final video we can see what our audience think so far and make changes.
This is the questionnaire they we created to gather all the information about our feedback that we could. we also need to make sure that we were asking the right sort of questions to make sure our feedback would be useful and honest so we can make effective changes to our video.
Here are our results:
This pie chart shows that the majority of our audiences feels like the video would interest them as we only gave this questionnaire to people in our target audience. The majority also think that we used a wide shots and angles throughout our video to make it entertaining, we used shots such as long shots, two person shots, midshots and close ups. However some people do not agree this means that we could add more variety of shots and angles.
The majority of people believed that the pace of cuts was appropriate for our song. We have used 127 cuts throughout the video we made sure that we used a lot of cuts because this is one main conventions of music videos that we studied. However some people did not agree this means that we could be more accurate with the pace of our shots.
The majority of people liked the effects that we used in our video and found them appropriate and interesting and added to the video. However some people did not agree with this and did not like the effects.
Half of the people that we asked said that they would change the quality of the video I would agree with this however there was not much we could do about the quality as we were on a low budget. others said we could improve the lip syncing.
The majority of people said that they think that our video contained a wide range of props and costume changes. In our video we included props such as balloons and the letter. We had also noticed this when other people watched our video they liked the use of our props. we also tried to get different costume changes however I do believe we could have had more.
Majority of people agree that the artificial lighting that we created we very fun and effective and suit of genre and meets our target audience. however we could of made it a bit lighter so the quality of the video would have been better.
There was a equal spread of what people liked most about the video some really enjoyed the colourful lighting others the range of shots and amount of cuts we included. the effects we used in the editing process, others lie the dancing acting and miming and final some liked the costumes and use of props.
Over half of the people we questioned said that they think that the target audience should be 13 to 24 which is also what we think. others think the target audience should be between 12-17 this includes some of our ranges as well and are very similar.
Most people really liked the acting and dancing and said it looks really professional however they said that we could improve the timing of the lip syncing so this is something that we are going to improve on.
Ancillary Task
most people agreed that our ancillary products looked really effective and are appropriate for our target audience. however some say some parts do not stand out for example the blue on the album cover is not bright enough.
most people agreed that throughout our digi pack and music video there is obvious signs of synergy and others would agree that they saw some signs of synergy but it was not obvious I do agree but we did not want it to be too obvious as we just wanted it to subtle.
there was a spread of views about what stands out most about our ancillary product however a lot of people said that they like the images that we have used throughout our ancillary products. others said that they really liked the colours that we have used and also the style of font is very interesting and effective.
When asked about the quality of the images that we have used on our digi pack most people would agree that the images are very good quality however some disagreed due to the way they were cut but as I have explained before this was very difficult and we did the best we could and I still think it looks very good and professional.
