Location research

This is a location from the Katy Perry music video 'This is how we do' and Demi Lovato video 'Neon Lights' When we did our initial research we liked the idea of having bright colourful backgrounds. The bright colours suits the style of our video as bright colours are uplifting and that is the genre of our song. Even though this background is colourful it is very plain which means that there is more focus on the artists. Georgina and I really like this idea however we do not know where to find a colourful wall so we may have to find an alternative for example using lighting to create the colourful background.

















This is the 'post to be' video and Selena Gomez 'Good for you' video. They both use plain white background. They are also wearing quite plain clothes for example white shirt and black trousers. If we were to use a plain white background in our video we would probably dress our characters in bright colourful clothes instead of plain clothes this is because it would help to link to the scenes that we use bright colours in.




















This is Marinas video for 'Blue' and 'Dirty Picture by Kesha. They are both using a bar type setting How ever one is a pizza bar and the other is an alcoholic bar. This is something that we want to consider to use in our Video. Some problems with this is finding a location that will allow us to use the bar. We also would not want to promote alcohol as our target audience ranges from an age which is under the drinking age.













This is from Ariana Grande and Mac Miller music video called 'the Way' They have used a projector to project the colour of the background onto a white screen. This creates a really interesting effect that covers the artist as well. using a projector means that we can decide on any background that we want to use or would suit our video best in a particular scene.
In this video they do not use many different different locations however that make it look different by using many different projections. In some of the projections they use block colours, pictures and in others they use videos of themselves. This has given me and Georgina al ot of ideas of how to get around the issue of booking locations because using this method we would only need to get one location and a projector. Rhianna has also use this projection method and she has used a scene of a country side this is a very clever idea as it means that we would be able to have images and scenes of places that we may not be able to get access to or would be difficult to get to with the cast.




















This is Taylor Swift video 'Wildest Dreams' and Rhianna 'California King Bed' video they have used outside locations in places such as a field this is something that we are considering as a location in our video. However some things that we have to consider is the camera quality and how well we will be able to portray the scene. the other thing that we need to consider is lighting and also the weather conditions that may change and cause continuity problems.
